Hi! My name is Katelyn Lieb. I’m a third year naturopathic medical student at UB. I’m originally from the New York Hudson Valley. I completed my Bachelors of Science at Syracuse University in Nutrition Science and Food Studies in 2015. My desire to combine nutrition and medicine is what led me to pursue Naturopathic Medicine, a field that I didn’t know existed until I began my college career. The second I learned about Naturopathic Medicine I knew that it was the path for me. During my time here I also plan on completing my Masters in Nutrition and becoming a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
I’m excited to be a part of the COEGM here at UB where we are able to expand our learning beyond our structured medical education. As a Pathfinder, we are able to grapple and experiment with all of the inspiring and core aspects of the field of Naturopathic Medicine. We combine medicine, art, networks, and cutting edge interventions for patients that deepens our educational experience.
At UB I’m a board member of the Naturopathic Medical Student Association, a student representative for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and a volunteer with the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians. When I’m not completing school work, I enjoy cooking, practicing yoga, snowboarding, and spending time near the ocean.
