Hello! My name is Frank Song Jr. and I’m originally from the small town of Lovettsville, Virginia. My undergraduate studies were in Socio-cultural Anthropology and Biology on the pre-medicine track at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. I was originally planning on studying conventional medicine, but after an automobile accident where I was hit by an SUV while crossing the crosswalk, my life was turned around, and I discovered naturopathic medicine through my own healing journey. I started my studies of natural medicine and therapies in clinical nutrition and epigenetic analysis, so the COEGM pathfinder scholarship program was something I was interested in even before I knew about it!
In my spare time, I am a professional musician in the New York City area, and mostly perform in Brooklyn. I am mostly a singer/songwriter and was inspired a long time ago to use my singing as a form of healing when I was a music therapist in the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center at UVA through Musicians on Call. I continue my art and expression as a way to connect with myself and others. I plan on practicing in the DC-metro area and I look forward to everything the future has to hold!
